Rare Rumuruti (R3) Meteorite in Glass Display Box polychrome Double terminated scalenohedral twinned onRecently discovered near the Tanezrouft Plateau in Algerias Sahara Desert, this rare Rumuruti (R3) chondrite features breccia embedded in a fine grained matrix, with distinct chondrules visible throughout. Unlike ordinary chondrites, this meteorites formed under highly oxidizing conditions and therefore contain little to no free metallic iron. This unique formation environment makes R3 Rumuruti chondrites especially uncommon and scientifically
